I just bought a domain name, now how to add to existing hosting account?

    Hi,
    I have purchaced a new domain name, I currently have a website and the hosting account can have multiple domain names, I have a load of space and would like to add this domain and run it like it is a seperate website.
    I have cpanel, now what?

    You need to connect that domain to the server (hosting). To do this you will go into your hosting registrar and update and name servers. The name servers should be provided in an email by your hosting company, if not then email them and they should be able to give it to you quick.

    Then you go to your control panel and build your website.

    I assume you have cpanel which mostly hosts provide. login to cpanel you will find addondomains option there just click it and add your new domain. afterwards you will be able to see the data directory for that domain to upload your code. you can also directly login to cpanel by the username password which will be set by you during addition process
    Cpanel--Addon Domains---domain name --user password

    if you are still confuse ask your web host support to assist you. mostly good web hosts have live chat and support to help out

    Simple thing to do is contact your web host they should have support for you and this will be an easy way to sort your problem out, good luck.

    I have sorted it out now, thanks. A bit of trial and error was my friend, don't really know what I done, but its now working. :)
