I highly recommend on Spygl Your contact informationass, its very helpful to find yours and competitors incoming links with all the relevant information. Also their application for ranks (Rank Tracker) is very nice although there are better apps for ranks
I used its free version. It shows competitor's links but this does not help much cause it is impossible sometimes to get links from the same sites. How will it help you tell me please? Yes, you see that your competitor has strong backlick from some PR6 site. As an example he bought it for crazy money. Will you buy too? If you have no money then it is useless.
But at least you can get the links that you can get. Plus sometimes I find sites similar to the competitors' ones (this often happens with affiliate sites) and request links from them. Besides if you not only try to get links from the very exact websites where your competitors' links sit, but look at the whole picture, you can discover new areas of promotion you never thought about. It happened lots of times that I discovered a completely new target audience for the businesses I used to be pushing up Google. SEO SpyGlass is very informative. Don't look at it only like it's a fully-automated link-building machine - it's not. Look at it like it's a very insightful tool to pull out your competitors' secrets and get a clear idea of where to move
