I install wordpress... Now what to do

Hi DP Friends i recently purchased a domain and i installed wordpress to that site. Please suggest me some great plugins to install?

 

configure your permalinks and then install all in one seo plugin and google sitemap. my first actions every time i have installed a wordpress

 

Do you have a particular strategy that you're following?
I definitely would upload some plugins, such as 'bullet proof security', 'Yoast SEO', 'SEO Core Tweaks', 'Google XML sitemaps', and "Google Analytics (This might be included in the Yoast plugin tho'.
But, if you haven't figured out what the purpose of the blog is going to be, i.e. 'content marketing' 'adsense site', 'PPC for affiliate program', it's kind of hard to know what to suggest. Bottom line, you need good keyword targeted content for whatever approach your going to take. You can write it yourself or outsource it on fivrr.com, elance, or even craigslist.com.
Then it's all about promotion.

 

try to install cbnet favicon, faster image insert, searchterms tagging 2, activate akismet for sure, and all mentioned by etc above me..

100% agree. Also install wpsecurity scanner too.
Also - Don't use 'admin' as your log-in user. Go for something else like your name, alot harder for hackers then.

Also, I always install Sexy Bookmarks or some type of bookmarking plugin.

 

Since I am not positive the mission of your site, I can only recommend one plugin I use universally on all mt sites.
JW Player Plugin for wordpress. You can create custom players, pretty neat.
