It might seems like a bragging post, but actually it is a post simply to highlight that the simplest features that we overlook can get us a lot of traffic through search engine. Well, last month I changed my blog design which improved site's load time. But along with that it refined the use of h2, and h3 tags. As well as it improved the navigation on the blog such as breadcrumb. Next change I did was renamed my design images from default index_01 to an appropriate name. Like logo.gif .. contentbg.gif and so on. I also started using more images in the post, and giving them related names as well as alt tags. A lot of my images didn't have alt tags filled in before as I used to just keep them to satisfy the w3 markup. But by doing this my search engine traffic went off the roof. If you need to see the stats and tricks in detail check out my recent case study post.
Yeah I can totally relate to this, prime example of testing your sites potential and changing things around to get the best results. Congrats mate!
Good work. I can definitely vouche that the extra effort in the little on-site seo is worth the time.
Good work, you basically optimized your site, everything you did needs to be done for search engines to pick you up.
I found someone who gives complete SEO analysis report in services forums... really cheap... I think you should try that too...
