I improved my alexa ranking, please help

please tell me if improving alexa ranking means improved websites performance, since my website ranking has improved from 40lakh to 12lakhs.M y PR is only 1, the website has just launched.I have been doing bloggging, blog commenting, forum posting, social bookmarking, social networking, article submissions, press releases and social networking.Please help

To have better alexa ranking you should increase the number of pageviews per visitor. Usually that helps.

To improve your Alexa ranking, post your articles on webmaster forums. Most of us use the Alexa toolbar

Alexa ranking can easily be manipulated. Your alexa rank will increase each time your Web site is viewed by an Alexa Toolbar user.

Conduct an experiment, install alexa toolbar in your browser, ask your friends to do the same then visit your Web site everyday for a few minutes, this will definitely boost your alexa rank.

Although it's unreliable, it's still a measure of a Web site's popularity, when your rank reaches 100K below (very hard to maintain), it means your site is visited frequently.

 

set your website as your homepage and make sure you have the alexa toolbar installed that way anytime you or anyone else goes on the internet, I actually started doing this about a month ago (my site is only about two months old) and my ranking has gone up from 4 284 533 to 1 317 131. Now that obviously wasn't all from me because my traffic has gone up too but it sure helped. Also depending on what kind of site you have if you make some sort of webmaster related content on it your rank will improve because webmasters are generally the people who have the alexa toolbar installed. If you want to improve your website Alexa Ranking then go with first of Alexa Validation, then after promote it with use of link building methods.

 

It's totally pointless.
It's not increasing your traffic, and it won't improve your position in search engine results.
It's merely a very inaccurate and easily manipulated third-party tool to 'guesstimate' your traffic - at best it's reporting something that has already happened, and it doesn't do that very well.

Improving any ranking has NO effect on the "performance of your site". To make it "preform better" from a technical aspect you need to ensure proper code and make sure that your site views correctly across all the different browsers.

I guess it all hinges on what you mean "preform better" is speaking to...

link exchange, comment on blog dofollow, submit to directories, submit article to article directories, bookmark your site, or buy some link of other site with high pr

Get everyone you know to download an Alexa toolbar and then have them visit your site a bazillion times a day. Alexa bases your ranking on visits and page views, the data mainly comes from their toolbar and a few other sources.

 

alexa rank is just a measure of how mamony visitors you have..on ur web each day...Keep on doing what are you already doing and nothing to worry about anything else...
