Sorry for being the only cynic on the block but a couple of things stand out:

* LOCOG are fierce on any kind of non-sponsored advertising near the stadium - and the exclusion areas are large.

* Most of the people attending the Olympics are families (feel free to check various sources and see ticket demographics for yourself) - wrong target audience! Don't confuse large foot-fall (traffic) which large success. Otherwise everyone online would be buying $100k visits for $1 deals we see everywhere and making a fortune!

* The conversion rate on flyers is at best under 1% - unless you've broken the mould and have designed a flyer that converts at levels unheard of. And as I said you're marketing a niche to the wrong audience. Very interested to see reaction of families when handed cougar dating flyers!

...all for great marketing ideas, but really?

 

I would like to know the results though.... seems interesting and alot of work put into it.
