Help please. It seems like I hit a wall at Gle. Adding links, addingt or changine content , nothing seems to effect the rank of my website for over a year now. 7=8th place is as good as it gets.
How can I ell what sites ranked higher than mine are doing to stay on top?

the domain is about 8 years old. Front page was redesigned about 4 months ago. No changfe in ranking. Most of the sites ranked higher than mine are at least as old and very minimal if any changes in well over a year.

Off topic, but that is a cool idea. You might want to do some research on using Header tags to emphasize certain sections of your website. For example :
Welcome to Pedal Car Plus
. Not sure if I would rely so much on using tables for the actual website design either...but maybe that's just personal.

one thing for sure, you're not doing what the rest on the top of are doing. try to study carefully their websites from the content up to their backlinks, in these way you can track down what have you missed that others didn't.

Have studied their sites so much I probably know them them better than thay do. As far as content, I feel IO have them beat hands down. I have a problem with backlinks as far as trying to get an accurate reading on who has what, are they relevant links, pr of the links, etc. If anyone cares to take a look, the search term I'm using is "pedal car". The sites ranked higher do a shuffle every day or so but mine is constant at 7-8th.

One thing I would suggest is doing a backlink analysis with something like www.LinkDiagnosis.com and see who your competitors are getting their links from.

Then copy them. Simple, but effective.
