    Is that correct?

Can a one page website get high rankings if the industry is not competitive?

For example, would a one page site with about 500 words of original content rank high for the keywords " pink turtle" if optimized or would it need more pages?

No, that is not true. A one page site can rank in SERPs as well as PR

Yes, you sure could do that with one page

I agree with kentuckyslone one does not need a large site with hig PR to rank.A good page without any PR will also rank.

My one page site was the only one of my sites to go up in pr this last update.
New, it went from 0 to 1.
