    Hi,

Three weeks before I've done link exchange with 300+ website ranging from 4 to 7 page rank which are IT enabled web development solution company by sending them email to exchange link with me but after one week also I didn't get any replies from them regarding link exchange. I have wasted my 3 hrs in this.

Are they not interested in exchanging link with me?
Is there any other method where I can exchange link with others?
Is there any software for this?

    Please help me out.

what is the PR of your website?
if your website pr is 0-1 then it is worthless to link exchange with 4-7 pr websites because these websites will not consider your website.

it's worth sending them a reminder email. i've done that before and you'd be suprised at the successful responses you get.

Welcome to the world of SEO and link building!

As stated above, no one with any PR is going to exchange with a site that has no PR. Direct link exchanges are not always beneficial because they are often caught and penalized by the Search Engines.

The other thing you face is that many webmasters who have high PR are not willing to give it away with link exchanges. They can make lots of money by selling links. Also, they ignore most requests because there are tons of spammers who are out there trying to spam people.

Try starting a thread in the the link exchange forum here and expect to exchange with equal or just slightly higher PR sites.

    Hey Hyder....
Link exchange is an obsolete practice and not too many people believe in it, which is probably why you didn’t receive any replies. And should you also receive any responses, I’m afraid they wouldn’t be from very quality sources… Thus wouldn’t recommend any software or something similar.

You could probably try getting links from the much newer methods, social bookmarking, blog comments & posts. You could also get reviews about your site. This apart, the tried and tested method of directory submissions is always there… Amongst the directories, there are the article submission directories, the paid directories, niche directories and not to forget the good ol’ free directories.:)

In fact I had used one such service called Directory Maximizer and was really happy with their service. They charge a nominal rate of 14cents per submission. As a matter of fact i have enrolled myself for their affiliate program as well;)

I suggest you visit their website [www(dot)directorymaximizer(dot)com] and contact them. I am sure they would be able to help you out.

Wishing you all the very best:)

you should start with buying some good links, comment on do-follow blogs and free directories links and then after ~3 months you'll get your PR2-3-4 nd then start making link exchanges.

    That's what I'm doing now.

Will you explain me "do-follow blogs" if I post my comment on it then are you sure that i'll get good links. But I came to know that nothing is sure in seo and why do we have to wait so long for seo results like you say wait for 3 months.

PR updates every ~3 months.. that's the reason.

I can't promise you that you'll get PR4 but if you'll do what you can (you don't have to put a lot of money) I think you'll get ~PR3.

SEO is all about trying.. you've nothing to lose.

I still use link exchanges for traffic but as far as SEO it does you no good it just cancels out.

I haven't found link exchanging to be of any use. At an SEO training course, my collegue was told that link-exchanging is only beneficial if the site you are linking to has a good reputation and is somewhat related to the product you're selling. If you exchange with a website called Great Links or something like that, it's not going to be of any use.
