I have tried 3 sitemap generators but errors

Hi,

I tried 3 online site map generators but get errors from google about incorrect format. This is strange as the site maps for my other sites worked fine.

Can anyone help me out as I am stumped.
Warning this site is about sexual education.

What error are you getting?

 

I just get incorrect format at google with no other errors.
This is strange as the sitemap of 2 other sites I submitted were fine.
Any help really appreciated.

To generate an xml site map the best generator is www.xml-sitemaps.com/ . Please try it.

http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ is the best. it's sure to work... but in case it doesn't work try to open the generated sitemap and compating it to one that is good.

Thanks for the tps but they are not helping so far.

I used http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ to generate the site map and uploaded the file with the correct extension but still get this

Unsupported file format
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit. Help

I use the same program with 2 other sites and google thinks they are fine.

 

I am using the website you suggested to create my sitemap, but I dont have a public_html folder, whats that all about? Should I create that folder just for this?

 

you can also use www folder.
