If anyone is interested, a few of us routinely get together every full moon and hold an exorcism which keeps the evil CTR at bay. Our next one is planned for this coming Monday and Tuesday night.

If site is legit and everything is above board, you shouldn't have any problem. As for his source, I don't think I want to see where that info was "yanked out of"! lol

OK, after thinking long and hard about this, I think maybe these people are right so, I am now a convert of this BS, I mean dogma, that 10%+ is evil. Spent the last hour making it so once my CTR hits 5%, this shows up instead of my ads.

Btw Adpubster, I'm in on the exorcism. Shall I bring candles or is it a casual affair? lol

It's only too high if you are cheating the system.

Google WANTS your click rates to be high! They make money from it! What they don't want is low value to advertisers. So if you click rates were 50% and you were not violating the system... they would be just skippy with it!

I do not agree that having a high CTR is bad. I have many sites with much higher CTR than 10%, looking at my stats I have about a dozen over 40%, a few as high as 130 / 150%.

I have been with adsense since 2005, and have never had a single problem.

If you have good content, and you provide good traffic, and abide by all of their rules -- you will not have a problem. I send them good traffic from high SERP(s) .

Is is an ad with a very high PPC value? Cause that would look more suspect to Google, I'd imagine.

10% CTR is low so you shouldn't be bothered.

Some micro-niche sites could even go over 70% CTR and they were still doing fine.

you should contact google because it is better to let them know that you realized it and you want to know the solution for it. if you do not dot that, then they might close your account. be really careful with that. There are always people out there who are crazy and they want to do something against your account.

I guess You're lucky to have such a high CTR. If all your traffic is legit there's no problem at all.

Since you are getting 64% traffic from search engines a CTR of 10 is not impossible. But do use adsense's allowed sites feature to make sure that nothing malicious is happening!!

10% is not too high. It all depends on how targeted your ads are. If you have great content, and the ads complement your content, then you can get well above 10% (I've had around 40% at times). As long as the clicks are not coming from the same geographical location or IP...meaning as long as they're GENUINE visitors interested in your site, then you have nothing to worry about. :)

If your clicks are genuine, there is no problem.

High CTR itself is not a problem.
Rumors are however, that if CTR remains above 10% for a longer time, it triggers an automatic alarm
and your site is qualified for a human review.
If the site has no illegal content and you do not buy the traffic everything should be OK.
