I have submitted my website to 315 directories today and i am proud of myself. Now my website will rank a bit higher for my desired keywords, and as a result I will get a few more visitors, and those visitors will click on a few more ads and/or buy a few more products. I have been reading a lot lately about seo/adsense/life but I noticed I stopped doing things that should be done. Learning new things is great and with the internet as it is, there is no limit to what and how much you can learn. I can probably keep learning all my life without ever applying that knowledge. So what have you done for your website today?

I have just trying to customise a few of my websites and submit to just a few of the search engine manually. So, mind sharing us how you optimise your websites . For me, this is what I have done so far and it would be great if you think I have missed out anything... 1) Refine my title, headers and meta tag for the important keywords 2) Refine ALT on those pictures for the keywords. 3) Refine the contents and highlights of keywords with bold or text link. 4) Submit manually to a few of the popular search engine.... 5) Setup tracking mechanisms to monitor the traffic in those website Any thing more I need to do?
