I have Spyware/Malware or a virus on my computer

My computer has slowed down and I am getting entire pages or tabs popping up on Firefox advertising Dish Network and work from home offers. I have already ran my Norton Antivirus, Anti Spyware, CCleaner and the file that I am trying to get rid of still keep coming back. It is Acrobat.exe-35645591.pf found in C:\windows\prefetch folder. Can I delete that entire Prefetch folder? What is the purpose of that folder and can I do without it? Will deleting it affect my computer? I believe I also have a threat called Bloodhound.pdf.18 but I cannot find where it is. Can someone help me please?

    Thanks,
    Keith.

Spybot search and destroy is one of the best.

SuperAntiSpyware is other one you can use.

usual when my computer gets anoying i would just backup all files i need and reformat. But you could update all security applications. And make sure u instal spybot search and destroy its really good for things like this.

I just bought a spyware doctor key, it has 3 uses left.
Let me know if you'd like to use one.

usually, i just backup my data and reformat the entire computer - it saves so much time rather than debugging the virus problem.

but the free version help is by using avast4.8, the free avast version is pretty good in getting rid of these viruses, malware, spyware and etc. and it even runs on safe mode at startup, which is a real virus/malware killer.

also, you can try downloading spybot search and destroy - pretty effective in removing these malware as well.

    hope this helps

i would have to agree, backing up your files and reinstalling OS is the best way to go, i know people want a quick fix and sometimes its possible but the best way at least for me when i get a virus is to backup and reinstall windows.
