I've been learning CSS and making my blogs look more like blogs.

I don't trust Godaddy with my blogs.

    I use quick blogcast.
Anyone know how to back up a site?

Normally each control panel has something called filemanager you can compress the files to .zip for you to download or the better hosts offer weekly / manual backups which then get sent to your email

I suggest you get some REAL hosting, put a wordpress blog on it and start from there.

Try and get cPanel hosting so everything is newbie friendly, including backups - 3 clicks and you have a backup created and ready for you to download.
