I have SEO questions and need SEO work done!

I paid to have a website made advertising my full tilt poker referral code. The website is www.referfulltilt.com. I am right now getting SEO work done by some guy who said something about adding my website to his website on his main page so when it loads it loads my page. Im not quite sure what he ment by that because I know NOTHING about this stuff. The first day he started I was 8th ont he first page under the keywords "full tilt referral code" on google. In the last 4 days the website has not moved on google. Someone told me that the guy who is working on my website is really not doing anything for me and that I could get it done for free. He also said that it would not hold its position after the 15 days was up. I will have to pay him 90$ at the end of the 15 days. Am I going to end up paying for something I could get done for free?

Also my website only has 200mb bandwidth and I have had 66 uniqe visitors and used 20mb. So does this mean I am only allowed 660 viewers a month and if I surpass that amount my website will be shut down untill the next month?

I want to have good SEO work done where my website will be 1-3rd on the first page under the keywords "full tilt referral code" and will hold its position for a long time.

Thanks in advance! I have so many questions and know nothing about this stuff!

220MB bandwidth is not enough for any serious traffic. So before paying for any SEO service, make sure you have a decent hosting plan.
Here is something you should read even if you hire someone else to do the job: Beginner's Guide to Search Engine Optimization.
Cloaking, redirects, etc. is not SEO. It will bring some traffic, but in the long term it's something to avoid.

The top SEO firms charge thousands per month. $90 is nothing, and you really can't expect much. If the guy was any good, he wouldn't be charging only $90. Your keyword isn't going to bring you much traffic. A number one ranking on google would likely result in one or two visitors a day. If you don't have a big SEO budget, you should spend a lot of time reading these forums and doing the work yourself. You should find different hosting too. Try hostgator or if your budget is less, asmallorange.

I try to read stuff but it is so complicated and I get lost. There are 640,000 search results for full tilt poker referral code and on the first day of him adding the website he got me to 9th place on the first page. I have yet to move since then. I have been told that the keywords are easy. How much would it cost me to get SEO work done for my website under the keywords full tilt referral code to get my website to #1 where after that month it would hold its position?

The way I see it the competition for
    intitle:"full tilt referral code"
    Code (markup):
    is not that tough.
By the way it's not a good idea to reveal your keywords on forums (especially webmaster forums).

So how much would you charge me to get my website to the #1 rank on google under those keywords? I want the work that is done to hold its position afterwards too. Not just vanish from google after the SEO work is done.

Search Results have nothing to do with how many people search for a phrase. According to google, only 170 people search for it per month. Of course only a percentage of that number will actually click and visit your website. It shouldn't be that difficult to rank for, but you can never do something and always expect to rank number one - or even in the top 10. Google tweaks its algorithm hundreds of times per year. If others start targeting that keyword, your position is going to drop.

You should never trust anyone who says they guarantee you a set position ranking.

To be quite frank, if you aren't willing to put the time into learning about the basics of SEO, you're never going to be successful and should find something else to do.

SEO is not a one time process. Nobody could guarantee your site will rank number 1 forever. Not even for 3-6 months.
I have no idea how much SEOs will charge you for ranking n1 for that particular keyword.

I agree, $90 is not much to ask for basic SEO work.

You will always get out of it, depends on what you put in to it.

You could spend years trying to learn SEO, I have been learning SEO for over 7 years, and I am just not considering myself a SEO expert, and Google seems to agree.

My name is Top 25 at Google for the keyword phrase: SEO Expert

I could help you learn more about SEO while helping you optimize your own website. If this is something you would be interested in let me know, or if you have any questions about SEO, feel free to post them.

I have 3GB of traffic per month on my website, and had about 80 unique visits a day, and who knows what else.
Now extend to 10GB per month ...

I Agree, DIY SEO is the best SEO tool you will ever have. But asking people around is also a step for brainstorming yourself on multiple questions on your mind

Just don't jump to sneaky seo services and their promises
