I have questions about adwords!

    Hello everyone,
I have been reading the threads in this forum for a while to catch some skills about adwords. I am about to start a new campaign and but have some concerns which I wanna discuss you with.

Firstly, my site (planned as an online retail) is a new one and hasn't been indexed by Google yet. I've signed up to the system, entered my keywords (4 keywords), ads, max budget, CPC so on....And I am planning to use multiple ads (i think 3-4). In the estimate tool, it says 1-3 ranking, 50-70 clicks with a total cost of £20 max per day.(location is England only).

    My questions are:

Does it effect my ad rankings or the amount of money I will pay, if my site hasn't been indexed yet?

If a user enteres a keyword, I want a particular ad to appear. How can I achieve this?

Are the estimates are really correct or deceiving me?

If my landing site is my home page for every keyword, does it cause a problem?

In fact, I have some more questions but I think I am gonna keep the rest for later.:D.

    Thank you for now.
    and your help....

    No.

Keep that keyword in it's own ad group with the ad you want shown.

The estimates are worthless. You'll have better data than they provide a few hours after you turn on your campaigns and start running them.

All depends on what you're trying to accomplish. It won't cause a problem with the AdWords system itself but could (depending on the nature of your keyword selection) cause poor conversions.

Thanks for your answer. Now I created 4 ad groups that have one keyword and ad each, so that the ads can appear according to the keyword.

Ok, I think the best I can do is to start the campaign and see the results, and change the CPC and budget of each ad group individually according to the performance. So is there any advise that you can share with me? If you like I can give more specific details about the campaign.

Thank you again. Thank God I found this forum:)

In my experience if a word or phrase is not performing well it's best taken out of the campaign, as it will bring your click through % down, which means you then have to pay more for the equivalent position.

As far as I can work out, the better your click throughs the less you have to pay for a word, therefore it's not worth having words which appear below the fold, let alone on page 3,4,5 etc as they just bring the averages down and you have to pay more for the words which do rank well.

Quality Score is at keyword level. One or more bad performance keywords does not affect the others.

I thought the overall performance of the campaign would be lower because of bad keywords as Steve said already.

I am gonna start the campaign today I suppose with my 4 ad groups ( 4 keywords and 4 ads). And if some keywords have lower performance, I am gonna modify them. I think this is the best way to learn about advertisement, Try and if not works, try something else. But I hope this method does not make a hole in my wallet:)

By the way Google has partially indexed my website today. It's been a week , , Wow that was quick for me.

Thanks for your help. If I have more questions I won't hesitate asking you.
