300 seconds a script is allowed to run on your host.

What are you using to import database? If you are on shared hosting and using phpmyadmin to import data, then you should ask your host for assistance.

use a gzip to import that will be more quick

Most hostings services limit the upload size of MySQL databases.

I would suggest an easy and smooth way to do such work, download BiDump, a single-file PHP script, write down your db access details and upload it along with your sql files.

Now call the script from your browser, choose your sql file to import and you are done!

    Happy dumping time, www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php

With bigdump doesn't really matter the limit you say because the script can override such setting by itself
