Well, the auto bloggers and head line thieves are now stealing posts and headlines for their MFA's. I guess that makes it official. What do the rest of you do about this, if anything?
I've found one of my posts stolen already, if I see it happen again I'm going to start emailing people and unleashing hell, hehe.
Welcome to the Blogosphere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not much you can do about those pirates, as long as it was on YOUR site first and you have some quality backlinks... The SE's will recognize the originator! Be sure to "Show off Your Blog" for free on our forum. Good luck with you're blog and welcome to the sphere
That location caption is FUNNY! I mean just Hilarious!!! Thanks for the tips. Too bad it is never PR MFA's, or else I would post headlines with the trigger words and flood them with my stuff every week.
You would be suprised, when I started looking for other music bloggers, I found quite a few people on this forum that are into a diverse range of music. (No one into House and Trance though)
For starters make sure that your RSS feeds only provide a brief summary of the post, not the entire post. Let the scrappers copy those
how do you guys know that someone is stealling your content? does it affect your bandwith, because they´re linked?
Well.....it doesn't affect your bandwidth...well....Images, maybe. I know they are stealing because I check my stats everyday to see who, or what is linking to me, and I follow the link back to an autoblog triggered to pick up "Podcasting", or "Dance Music" or some crap like that.
i see... i´m checking out stats everyday also, and following links, but sometimes i just can´t find any refernce to my site in it...or the ones who linked don´t appear to make any sense.
Make sure all of your links are set correctly, as well as your site map. It took me a few days to figure that out too.
