I have no weight

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the ad network and very excited about it
based on all the positive info I have read.

I have added ads to a couple sites and submitted my
    own ads for both.

I believe they have been approved because the ads
    are not in pending status.

However, my weight for both of them is zero.

    How can this be?

Is it because neither of them are in Google presently.
They have both been spidered by Google a few
    times, however,

    Thanks in Advance,
    Dean

Yes your pages need to be indexed by Google. Maybe you like to tell us wich one you used so we can have a look whether its indexed or not and whether the the ads are displayed properly on all pages.

AFAIK, I am afraid you have to be indexed by Google in order to have weight. This is because the google API is used to detrmine vital statistics about your site in order to determine your weight.

Does a "site:" command in Google return any results?

I'm in Yahoo but not Google, but I have been spidered by Google

    Here is site:
http://www.obedientcanine.com/m1 - ads are at very botom.

I guess it is still useful to use whatever other methods make
sense to get indexed into Google quickly. The ad network
can't be relied on for that since I must be indexed for the
    ad network to take affect.

I'm sure I'll be indexed pretty soon.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You are indexed in Google with four pages as far i could see. Move the ads to your main home page and then try again..

    I see. I'll try that.

Does this mean I should change the url in my account
to my home page also or does that matter?

Enter your homepage in your setup account , make sure to have ads on that page and then try to validate again.

    Thanks crazyhorse.

I fixed it. I have a weight (only 14), but it is a start.

... Also, I have set up the ads on another page,
    www.powerelinteam.com.

This one is indexed in Google (the home page only and
with no description, but I also get no weight.

Also, for some weird reason, the ads aren't actually
showing at the bottom even though the code is there
and done in a very similar way to obedientcanine.com

Any idea why they don't display?

    Thanks,
    Dean

I think you have to create another account for that second domain and after that consolidate to the master account.

I had a new account, and I just bound it to the master account (not sure what this really does) but nothing changed.

Here is my url (I couldn't type actual url since I have less than 10 posts):
    powerlineteam dot com

You can do a 'view source' and see that the ad links are at the very
bottom, but they do not show.

Thanks a lot for your help!

The ads on that page are after the closing body and html tags:

    "</body></html>"

They need to be before those tags.

I see what you mean, but that is just the way my site is
created with this software I use.

    On this page:
    http://www.obedientcanine.com/m1

the ads are also after the </body></html>

    However, the ads still show.

    Thanks,
    Dean
