I have no knowledge on scripts!

One first thing to clear up

say i have a flash games script i wish to install.do i need a site to be able to install it or does the script like make the site if you get me.

Also how did you all learn how to install aracade scripts...i seem to be the only person that doesnt know how.i have 3700 games and a free script so thats no problem...its just getting my damn site up and running .My domain is nice to www.myflashgames.info
now if only i could install a damn script!

 

You have to buy hosting for site. Alot of hosting sites now offer script installers. They install script for you. They do most scripts not all.

then upload, check if your script has an installer, and run it.

probably, it depends on the scripts.

what do you mean you dont understand what you do?

 

the script should have come with an install text file or something telling you the needed steps to install it on your server. If not ask your hosting company what info you will need to install it like.

FTP info - to upload the files to your site (Hosting)
MySQL info - needed ti install the database.
phpmyadmin info - for editing/fixing/etc database.
Dir paths info - sometimes required in the script to know where some files are located.
etc.

Becarefull with going around here telling everyone you have no idea because there is ppl that will take advantage of the fact you know so little about what your doing and they might use that.

 

a guy has tried it at two hosts for me now he says it wont install....is it the software the hosts use,him,or the script?

 

theres no way for us to know this, how can we know that the guy doing it even knows what hes doing let along if the scrit is junk.

Extract the Zip of the avarcade & upload contents to your www folder.
Use the readme given with it, as it is pretty thorough on how to install the script. If you cannot install it, PM me the account login details & I will install it for you.

You have to create a games folder in your www & upload all swfs there.
Create an images folder within the games folder & upload all thumbnails here.

You have to then import an sql file through phpmyadmin, for which I can help you.

Your host needs to have-
PHP , MySQL , phpMyadmin
