I have no idea what happened

Can anyone tell me what the heck happened to my blog? Why does the blogger search bar at the top look like that? And how do I fix it?

I haven't messed around with the template for awhile, but last time I did I previewed it to make sure it looked fine...and it did.

It looks like the blogger search bar to me.

 

I see what you mean, for those who can't see it, the blue blogger nav bar across the top is smushed to the top left in IE, I don't know why though.... weird.

 

You can always turn it off on the Template page anyway if its causing problems - I've never liked the search bar to be honest. On the Template page in your settings is a drop down where it can be got rid of it or change its colour - get your real estate back.

 

Dio, I can change the color but I can't get rid of it unless I host my blog myself - which I'm too lazy and broke to do at the moment.

It's really pissing me off now! Maybe I'll email the blogger ppl and see if they know what the heck happened.

 

We'll I'll be... I didn't know that, sorry - I think you did used to be able to on blogspot - but I've not used them for a good while. They must have changed their mind on it.

No plans to host it yourself?

 

I will eventually, but at the moment I have too many things on the go and I wanted to keep it for awhile to see if it was even worth hosting.

Actually, all I would have to do is purchase the domain and redirect it to my currrent host...

Geez, I should just do that right now!

 

There are benefits to hosting your own Blogger blog, like what if they go down? You have a least a html version of your posts on your own server. If you leave them at blogspot and the go kerplut, you've lost them for good. However, the likelihood of this happening is pretty low.

 

Plus it helps with SEO....

 

I've emailed blogger support, but who knows when and if I'll get a reply.

 

Looks fine to me. I think blogger was having issues.
