I have a single hosting account. On this hosting account, I host several domains. Problem is, when I search "site:MyMainDomain.com" in Google, I see my other sites' directories indexed as well. For example: site:MyMainDomain.com/domain1 Isn't this duplicate indexing? How do I make it so that this doesn't happen?
if its an addon domain then yea, cause thats what the structure looks like. Correct me if im wrong someone but yea It is indexed on their own. I think though Sub domains are a different story, like blah.blahblah.com
I would only want to ask you what is the reason to create multiple domains on directories inside your main domain? I think it would be better if you use subdomains, as Jason1985 wrote... name.yourdomain.com would be much better than yourdomain.com/name ... And subdomains is NOT a duplicate site as your other subdomains: name is different from name1 ... NO DUPLICATE domains!
No google or any other search engine won't consider these site as duplicate. But each site should be different content. If you make 10 sites on a single content that will consider as Spam/Duplicate. no need to worry from google or any other search engine!!!!!
