My competitor only has 30! I have higher quality as well(pr 5-9)...why is my video not ranked in google? Its not even in the top ten! please any answers would be nice

    What rank is it at?

There's a few factors to consider:
    • Do you have any related videos linking to your video?
    • How's your onpage SEO? Do you have your keyword in the title and description? 300+ words in the description? Did you use your keyword as the filename when you uploaded the video?
    • How do you know you have more backlinks? It's possible that your competitor hit his video with spam comments, which mostly wouldn't show up in Majestic.
    • Do you have views, likes, and comments?

Lastly, these days a week is too short of a time to gauge the effectiveness of your SEO.

It's not ranked because you just posted the video and the links are new.

    Hi Dabook,

Just be cool. It doesn't matter of getting in top postion in short time. Though you build backlinks on high PR sites it takes some time by the search engines to identify your video for the particular keyword.

Before i giving you the tips i need few questions to clarify.

    1. How long is your video?
    2. What are the keywords you used ( long tail or short tail )
    3. How many searches does the keyword contain?
    4. What anchor text did you used to build your backlinks ?
    5. How about the description and keywords stuffed in the meta ?
    6. Is any other promotional activities done by you for the video?

I don't know how you prepared your video effectively, but just think and answer for my question. If you did it in the right way, then you need to wait for some time to get in to the top position, if not, kindly follow some general tips and ideas which will help you to boost your video.

    1. Make your video shorter ( optional )
    2. Try to grab the user attention of what you make this video for.
    3. Insert annotations without fail.
    4. Choose either long or short tail keyword. But the keyword should be a searchable one.
    5. Write a quality description with your primary keyword and secondary keywords.
    6. Once all set for your video, its time to begin promotional activities.
    7. Post your video in video sharing sites. Some sites will accept youtube link.
    8. Write a quality content related to your video and post it in high PR sites along with your video .
    9. Share it in social media and networking sites like facebook, twitter, scoopit, scorify, pinterest, tumblr and google + .
    10. And finally you can also do social bookmarking, directory submissions and Forum Links.

Note : Make sure the post and link which you shared and post gets cached and indexed by the google.Once your Submitting url gets started to crawl by the google definitely you can see the changes for your video in SERP.

Just having back links doesn't assure you that you're going to be ranked in the search engine at the top position, rather than it depends on the source from where the back links are coming from i.e. the site is in good ranking with the search engine or it is pennnalized by the Google. PR is another major quality factor that decides the ranking of your website in the eyes of search engine DA and PA is another quality factor, content of your sites also matter !! Ranking doesn't depends upon the single factor but it depends upon the multiple factors.
