No prob. It's quite common.. SERP's can change any time... just try to improve your site in this time.. add more content and build some decent links.. and the rankings will quickly crawl up again :)
    good luck.

Don't use the link: command - Google hides some of your backlinks to prevent your competitors from seeing everything. To get the real number, setup Webmaster Tools http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools and it will tell you the real inbound link number once you verify it's your site.

My site is only a few months old but the domain I bought is about 10 years old - what does Google see when it faces that? I'm not penalized and I'm not on any blacklists but my traffic did drop significantly around June 10-June 15th.

The first time it happened, it came back in 2-3 days. It's been about two months and it's still pretty low for me. It's been pretty annoying to say the least.

The autos site below launched in mid March, but we had content on it since December.

Our initial goal was to target the tail terms and right now we have close to 250k pages indexed but that really hasn't driven any traffic.

    Welcome to club !

I have sites that are kicked out for 5-6 months and still not recovering. And its not first time this happening. I had 2 more times when I lost Google traffic for few months, but then they would come back.

False, Google is actually a domain registrar and can view Whois information anyway. Also this info can easily be faked, so it's not real accurate.

You use a reverse DNS lookup to see what sites are on a server, punch your URL in here: http://www.myipneighbors.com/

It lets you view all sites on your server.

jkjazz, since you've stated you've been hacked THREE times already, run xenu, check your files again, and make sure you haven't been hacked again.

regardless, you need to tighten up your code. put yourself in google's shoes, why give someone a high ranking when they are susceptible to getting hacked? so...get things straight with your site, close the loopholes, then let google know...

I don't understand what was false about his statement? I think he stated a fact for him and I have heard it happen.

Anyway, we're hosted on our own dedicated box so it's not an IP issue for me.

i think it's because of the pop-up in your site. I'm also the one who will not go t the site that got pop up.
