I have to start this thread off with a double confession. First of all, I am relatively new to this. Secondly, on the times that I have tried to understand everything with all the SEO/Adwords and everything else related to monetization online, I have not been able to grasp the concept. So, that being said, I am Jeremy, and under the introductions thread, I posted a mini-bio of me. So, for those snippets of websites and conversations I have read and observed, is there a possibility for someone, with, at this time, no products or services to offer, to generate income? I have a few free hours between shifts each afternoon, and besides self improvement, like to devote my time to lowering my debt ratio. Thanks for assistance to this "slow" newbie. Jeremy
You can make money with Google, or any other affiliate, by selling THEIR product. You sign up at an affiliate site (Google, for instance) and post their ad on your web site. Depending upon the program you are in, either when someone clicks on the ad or when someone buys through the ad, you, the website owner, makes money. You might want to take a look at my blog in my sig. Start from the oldest post and work back. It might help you understand this a little better.
Thank you. I am about to click on the link. One question, and I am not sure if it will be answered in that blog or not. Do I need to set up a blogger or wordpress account, or have my own website, because now, I don't have one.
You could start with a blog as they are free, and tend to rank reasonably quick in the search engines. Or buy a domain for say $10 and set up a site. You can promote an affiliate product and have adsense ads on the same site. Once you have your site keep learning how to improve it and how to promote it.
