and if's there's any sort of security, ban your own IP from your own network. Unfortunately, it's the only way to do it.

He means that if your server or the place you are hosting your server has any kind of port-scan security/firewall it will ban your IP.

If your provider does provide you KVMIP or web console access to your server, you will be able to log in from there.

Alternative option is if you are using cPanel, try the below link.

    http://serverIP:2086/scripts2/doautofixer?autofix=safesshrestart

This should reset your SSH port to 22.

If the above option may not work for you, your only option is to contact the DC to access your server from the datacenter and perform the necessary changes for you.

I would find out if your server has a remote console or KVM over IP. You can then bypass SSH and find out the port by looking at the configuration files.

I often see these ports used:

    2222
    1122
    2211

But a port-scan, if you do not have a port-scan blocker should help you find the port.

Ask your provider to assist on this matter, they will be able to advice you what to do :)

Assuming it's a dedicated server or VPS you're talking about, ask your hosting provider for assistance. They can either tell you alternative ways to access your server or fix the problem for you if there's no other way.

They can log into your server in single user mode using the rescue disc and change the SSH port and your password, if needed. No settings/websites will be lost. You will only face a short downtime while they do it.
