spelling errors could be funny if the content is unique and good. Writing a lot in english will help you improve your grammar. If you think you can make an interesting blog about your life then go for it.
Well if I had to buy a domain then I would definitely think before I take any step. Anyways, For you I would suggest a nice forum. And the theme would be discuss about one's life. Like the users register on your forum and discuss their life. You can make sub-categories. For example Celebrations, Anniversaries, Birthday, Job, Love and so on.. Well, maybe develop it into a site about all about your life, a biography of you & the achievements you have made.
if i were you, i would make a blog. nice and simple, and if you have good content then you should make some decent $$$. If your english isnt too good, you should think about hiring someone to do daily blog posts for you. It will cost around $80 per month for a decent blogger, but then if the content is good enough and you can advertise really well, then you should make that back quite easily.
