I have created my first website and I am asking for your feedbacks

Thank you for your very valuable comment. Yes, you are probably right. I should use more colours and effects like maybe graphics and gradients which are very popular in the most websites. As I mentioned in some my previous posts before, unfortunately, I could not do all such things in weebly and that's why I am lately working on new version of my photographic website in joomla. This very flexible CMS system let me create the website I really want.

I like the simplicity of the design and layout, but I'm not a fan of the header and typography throughout the site. Work on the logo a little more. Search online and gather inspiration from similar websites. Good luck!

 

Thank you very much for your nice and valuable comment. I know the logo and header do not look so great and professional. Because this website has been created in weebly the whole header is just one image. Of course, I could do this better either in Photoshop or Illustrator using more sophisticated graphics and more beautiful fonts but I don't want to waste my time for this when I prefer to be focus on building better and more professional alternative website in joomla which gives much more functionality.

During this Christmas break I have intensively spent my time on working on my new website in joomla. I have finally chosen the template and I decided to use one from website http://themekat.com/ . I have configured the header except the logo (I must work more on it) and partly on footer. I have made menu already and I have started to fill website with articles (before I created all categories). I still don't understand all philosophy of joomla so I must practise more.

 

I have bought good book Steven Burge "Joomla!Explained:Step-by-Step Guide" and I have read half of it already. This book is very good for beginners.

 

The idea of changing black to colour is brilliant! I also like that smooth drop down menu. Just got two suggestions:
(1) You could browse some good sites for inspiration and make some layout changes. (2) You can give more prominence to your photo gallery.

Thank you very much for your nice and valuable comment. I appreciate it very much and I will use those ideas in my next website I am working on it at the moment. Unfortunately, I can not use those at the present website because of some design limitations which give me the weebly.

 

As I have mentioned I had started to build new website in joomla. At the moment I am reading good book "Joomla!Programming" that helps me to understand how joomla works inside and what I should do to customize it better.

 

I have updated my website a little bit. I hope you will like it.

 

Nice website I suggest to make the titles more designed. You can use css to do that. I love the format but make the "connect with FB" able to closed. And also change the background and the logo.

 

Thank you mate for your valuable comment. What do you mean to make titles more designed? To change font type or size or something else? I can not do anything with this feature "connent with FB", I just coped the code from one website, but if it is more annoy-able I will remove it in the future. I will probably change the template very soon so all colour theme will change too. I have no idea about another logo so far.

Background of what? Whole page or just header? 3D, you mean to add shadows?
