well the new template probably does not have the banners modules inserted in the code. You can just added if you are familiar with php....you would need to update the xml to include those modules eg. Banners module or USER7-8 or whatever they are under. Also update the html to include the banners module in the position before component and after component eg. <jdoc:include type="modules" name="user9" /> <jdoc:include type="component" /> <jdoc:include type="modules" name="user8" />
There are many template that support this, you can find on all commercial template provider like templateplazza, yootheme, shape5, and many more. You can look the demo first and then decide what template that you want. Other option is edit the template and add your own module but this requires joomla framework programming skill.
