I have been using the seo-toys freebie books package on all my sites for years.. For those who do not know, it is an amazon affiliate package setup, ( As I understand it ), its goal is to increase the size ( number of pages ) of a site. It does do the job, Its very simple to add a few thousand somewhat relevant pages to a an otherwise one page site. When I started with site building and seo, it seemed like a great idea. Each new page would add some part if its PR1 to the home page to which it was linked. The values which flowed to the site from its many pages seems like a PR flood. Yet, over the years, I am sensing that it may actually be an impediment to my sites serps. Conventional wisdom says that affilliate programs are spammy. Fact is, I do it to impress serach engines, not my customers, so in a sense, it is spammy. Has anyone any input regarding the positive and negative impacts on a site.
