Real lawyers would use a spell-check. I wouldn't worry about it until you get it in writing.

Oh absolutely! I am not deterred by the email, I am surprised a bit that I get such an email. If it's prank then it's a dumb prank and if it's real then the guy is a total retard about sending such an email and that too posting in my comments section - LOL.

I'd just ignore it and see if they contact your host, I doubt they'd comment on the blog if they were a real lawyer.

You should watch your language pal, you seem a little harsh in tone in your last few posts here.

Yeah that lawyer should use spellcheck haha

I have to agree with the company. They don't have a leg to stand on with you. But hey if they can get the site down it is one less competitor for their keywords.

In what way can a crippled lawyer harm you,
Taking into consideration that there are millions
of cases pending that have added weight to the
    already crippled judicial system?

I think almost every webmaster can expect an email like this eventually, but lets examine the facts. It was left as a comment, poorly structured, contained misspellings, and was all around unprofessional. I would definitely blow it off as junk.

this has all the characteristics of being a scam. any reputable company would use a spell checking, and lawyers DEFINITELY would.

All those who commented on spelling errors in the email, don't be surprised, TOI website has articles with spelling errors. You can see some of the works on the funny toi site.

Anyway - I just wanted to gauge the seriousness of the mail, so far no ramifications and the site is still running.
