Hey I have been thinking abuot buying 5500 .edu and .gov backlins from a merchant. My question though is what will these types of backlinks do? Are they pand and penguin safe?

i don't think it is really good because if u build such huge amount of backlinks in a short time.

that will just awaken google's panda n penguin as it does not looks natural in their eyes.

I agree. I did a 100,000 backlink campaign through someone (white hat) and it did nothing for my rankings. Those just piss the Panda's off.

It depends how it's spread out, if the 5500 is spread out over a number of weeks or months from different URL's then it's all good :)

first, find out how those links will be created. 5500 edu/gov links is no joke. i don't see how anyone can build that many edu/gov links legitimately without spamming edu/gov blogs/forums with some automated tools.

my guess is the links you will get are from blog comments which will be nothing but spam. if thats the case, i will suggest you to take a walk as those links will get your site penalized.

it is no way to link your site to such many sites without spamming and using automated tools.

Yea I am sure that they are automated tools. And the process would take about a week. So I should avoid that deal then?

If they use Auto submitter then it will hurt your website.

That's really no good decision to buy such large number of back links, even if they are all from edu. or gov sites. Like what they said, such back links would surely be spam, and for 100% sure that they won't last long after they are built. The most important, your website will be punished for those purchased and low quality back links. Forget that and build high quality back links yourself. You may need much more time and energy to achieve 5500 back links, but safer.

Buying huge numbers of links in a short period of time is what google is trying to stop with there updates. People who have a link and buy many thousands of links will no longer get any benefit from this except the experience of loosing money and knowing not to do this again. Google will not allow sites to accumulate 1000's of links a day and not get an advantage over sites owners who manually build there links. Good luck with your website. Hope you can find a better SEO solution. Take care and happy posting.

There is a big list of SEO parameters (around 200) and back links are just one of the important parameters which determine your SEO success. You may get 55000 back links but it is not going to help you unless you have got the right content. Better write on popular and unique topic, work on a niche and update your website regularly.

I wouldn't purchase these backlinks just to get google to find you. This is all very simple, write quality content, offer a great service, and the rest will take care of itself. I found that sharing information, being very helpful, providing tutorials or great information will generate more links and visit to your site than most other endeavors. Finally, participate in a community such as a forum or comment on blog sites.
    Buying links is too risky.

It sill works but you got to choose the right domains to target and get backlinks. Also, make sure you don't grow too rapidly and it's not about quantity but quality. Keep that in mind

For your information buddy buying backlinks is not actually safe, what Google wants is a natural way of building links.

Backlinks is an important part of any search marketing strategy. If you focus on the basics of SEO, backlinks need to get a good ranking in search results. Backlinks are links to your site from other websites. but u need to do it with your hand its very risky if u buy
