I have been having bad vibes with link sales subforum

i came on here to build quality backlinks on my site. i went into link sales subforum and i see nothing but juiced up link farm sites with high PR's trying to hustle me out of $150 for a perma-link.

now i know the old saying "buyer beware" but are all links like that? i mean there also goes a saying "you get what you pay for" and i would never imagine paying for a text link on a PR5 legitimate blog @ $150 a year.

whats the best way to go about getting good backlinks if the easy way out turns out to be the way of getting ripped off?

Well, I hate to tel you, but if you find a ture high quality PR5 that's giving you a text ink on the homepage for a year for $150, then you've ust found the deal of the month. Good PR5s normally charge about $15-$25 per MONTH for a text link advertisement. Good PR4s are around $7-$20.

And you're right. There are a ton of rip offs out there. you've really got to study the site you are thinking about purchasing an ad on. Here's a ist of the most important factors.

Well, there are links that are of THAT quality, but way cheaper.

And even this is, while not $150 is not all you can get. If you are truly interested and need HIGH quality links, I can help you.

Well, if could just get another 1500 webmasters to register at my site, then I'd have 2000 sites. I've already the programmed the solution you seek. :> It's true. I have made it so high traffic sites, (and here I'm talking about sites with Alexa rankings of 200,000 and lower) will be able to sell one way links on their home page, or from their link directory which is created using my "best on the web" software... So it will be awhile. Maybe all the members of DP can just browse over to my site in the next 24 hours and install my free software... then I could offer you this solution for real. The prices for one way links would very reasonable and controlled.

Link building is risky as far as money goes. I generally stick with a handful of perma links combined with a ton of blog comment links using my anchor text and it tends to work out very well.

The problem with the link sales forum is that some people THINK they are selling a high quality link (or want you to believe this is true). But the reality is their blog contains either duplicated articles or far too many outbound links.

Another problem is that the PR of the site can be a red herring - you have to delve deeper and look at the quality of the backlinks to the site. The last deal I looked at was a PR5 with 4 (mediocre at best) inlinks - LOL!

There are a few decent links in there, but it takes a while to search through them all, due to a) people posting the same deal almost every day b) Having to PM everyone because they don't put all the relevant information in the thread.
