I am currently unable to access my Gmail account. I think it is completely rediculous that they dont offer any help or services to regain access to gmail accounts.

I have so much private data stored there and plenty of people awaiting my response.

I have went to the lost password page and they ask some really dumb questions in order to qualify for a lost password email. I have no idea half of the stuff they ask and I have no idea what my secondary email address is, since I used gmail for everything.

They offer no phone support, no online support, nothing at all.

Has this happened to anyone before? I need to access my account asap I have tons of work to get done.

Its a bit rediculous I have important data saved and clients who might have websites vulnerable to attacks as well. Legally, I think google needs to do something about this. Myself and people I know could be losing thousands of dollars as we speak.

If you have so much important data then keeping it in a free email service isn't exactly the smartest thing to do. If you know that there's a possibility of failure in an area, you need to make sure that you have other plans on what to do if something were to happen, not Google. Therefore, Google isn't liable for such an occurence.

In your first post you mentioned the questions being "dumb", they ask those questions since if you use the account, you should know what features you use, creation date (estimate) and so on.

Millions of people use gmail for their businesses. There should be no reason to have a backup plan, its friggin google. I have answered their questions, all I can do is sit here and wait for them to take a look.

They really need a support line for issues like this. Something like this happened to me on ebay over a year ago and they had great support to retrieve my account. All I had to do was call up and give them my username, they checked it out and found that an IP address from half way around the world had accessed my account. Google should smarten up about this as its quite important.

Well I'll put it this way. If you really cared about all of the "important" data which is that sensitive, you wouldn't just keep it in a GMail account. It's your responsibility to backup data and no one elses. You should also have a strong password which wouldn't be easily crackable.

Just because Google is a big name and a big company, that doesn't mean that nothing can never happen.

Well, all I can say is that my brother got locked out, and nothing was ever done, he simply had to start a new account. Just goes to show you how important protecting personal data and a good firewall really can be...

They dont even ask you your security question.
I am still waiting for a response.. I think I give up and now Google has made it to my Black List.

If they cant realize how important these matters are, then they are doomed. I have found tons of people that got hacked out of their gmail accounts and few if any have successfully gotten access back.

GOOGLE HEAR MY ROAR - you pissed off the wrong developer.
