I have been away from this forums a couple of months but it sure is nice to come back and see all the Ron Paul supporters here. I've been busy with work and the grassroots Ron Paul effort so it is great to come back and know that the Ron Paul message is alive and well here!
nice to see there's more support here I converted late october because I am rational enough to admit I was wrong.
I too had to come to grips with the fact that I was wrong on a lot of things but in the end the truth prevailed
right on. for people who preach conservatism or an understanding government, Ron Paul is basically a litmus test to see how knowledgeable, open-minded and rational they are. if people feel uncomfortable talking about the Constitution or can't articulate a well thought response to it, you can generally tell they don't know too much about politics. people who angrily reject the name of Ron Paul (like a friend of mine does) are usually irrational, close-minded, miserable people who really don't know much of anything. I swear he is like the messiah of wisdom. and i'm not claiming that I am wise or smart by any means. i know i have still have plenty to learn and that's what inspires me to keep learning instead of keep rejecting.
I have learned so much because of Ron Paul. Not just from his message but because the message has created a desire to really learn and be educated on things like monetary policy, foreign relations, and the political process. Most Ron Paul supporters I meet have taken the time to really educate themselves. It is "Amazing".
that's awesome, me too. even things outside politics I'm starting to learn. because i noticed when i first saw ron paul i thought he was ridiculous, so i started thinking about some of the other things i thought were ridiculous and began to reconsider knowing that i wasn't approaching it with an open mind. now i've come to learn things the average person couldn't even dream up. pretty fascinating stuff. like some fellow said in the "best quotes" thread in the gen. section. "knowledge is power. knowledge shared is power lost." there is information out there that can be learned if you approach it the right way. the reason there is so much corruption is because people are not aware of some of the things going on around them because of their mindset.
