Hello everyone, how are you all today. I have this great idea but i am not sure if i am allowed to do it here. I am having trouble selling my wall hangings on my own website ( lack of website traffic the only reason) . I need to get these gorgeous hangings out into this big wide world for exposure/advertising for my business. I have given so many out for free and i just can not afford to do that anymore. I believe in what i make and am not going to give up as i enjoy making them and know that they will reward me in the end.
What i want to do is sell raffles tickets for a particular Fabric Wall Hanging i have made.(RRP $50 AUD + $24 AUD Postage = $74 AUD) The tickets would be $2 AUD (Australian dollars, which is approx $1.70 USD) each and i would only need to sell 37 and then a winner would be drawn out of a hat and the hanging would be sent to them (anywhere in the world, postage is included) I think you get the general idea by now.
Am i allowed to do this?
If i am and you wish to buy a ticket please email me for PayPal account details
BTW it is the Fabric Wall Hanging in my avatar that is up for grabs. It is called Retro Kids - Limited Edition - Only 1 ever made as fabric is very rare.

Idea is perfectly fine if the items are legitimately yours.

Since they are create by you, you can pretty much do anything you'd like with it.

Maybe you just need to market your website and idea.
To me it seems perfectly legal..

    good luck

With only 8 posts and 0 iTraders, you may not get the response that you are hoping for.

Thanks Juniper, i have been racking my brain on how to get my business out there and thought, why not have a raffle ( I will only do it if it is legal/allowed)to get people interested. The total raised would only be what i am selling the wall hanging for anyway.
I am a stay at home mum who wishes to succeed with her new online business. I know i will not make millions from my wall hangings but what i do make will go a long way for me and my family. Thanks for taking the time to answer my post.;)

If you want to drive traffic to your sites, put you url in your sig.

You might also want to post the prices in US dollars. I have no idea how much an AUD is worth. I don't even know what country it is from.

See you all later, I am off for a good nights sleep. I want to see lots of emails in the morning ( about 37 ) asking to buy a ticket in my raffle. Talk soon. From Kimt

It might be hard to get people to buy advertising for those types of things..

Where are u from in Australia.

    And for everyone else.

    1 US = 1.2 AUD
    Approx

    not too much difference

    Thats a great idea.
If you are advertising this in Australia, make sure that you dont break the local lottery laws. I mean no one will react on a small scale lottery like this, but check it out.

iTrader is like feedback on ebay. It's a system where you can earn points for successful buying & selling in the buy/sell/trade forums.

Also you should try and improve your rep, those green blobs to the right. the more you have the better it is. Rep can be given to people by clicking on the scales and leaving it. But don't ask for it cuz that's bad practice. Try contributing to threads, being funny, answering questions. Things like that.

Look at me being full of useful info, this is a strange feeling.

Wow morning already, i did not have a very good nights sleep, heard noises on the roof and had the husband out investigating at 2am. Neighbours dogs were going bezerk, i think i must have been a cat, but a bloody big one as it made a big noise. Thanks again for all of your suggestions. From Kim:eek:

It seems as others have said a perfectly fine idea. Just keep going at it, and promote you site wherever you can. Maybe you could think about handing out leaflets/banners etc around your area.

Hey everyone, where have you been? I thought the raffle idea was an excellent way to promote my Fabric Wall Hangings.
