I have an adsense question...

I have over 30 websites online and they all have adsense codes implemented in them all. The thing is I have added the same adsense codes within all of the websites.

My question is, is there a way for me to find out where exactly are my clicks coming from by sharing the adsense codes on different sites or should I just redo them and have one adsense code for each website?

    Thanks,

Just add a channel for each site/ad group that you'd like to track. To do this though, you'll have to go through and set it up again.

I think I did that initially when I started but found it to be very ineffective. Custom channels are a great way of monitoring to see where all your clicks are coming from and which ads are doing the best.

Yes, as mentioned above, channels are the way to go. And yes, it does mean you have to redo your code set-up for all 30 sites :(

But look on the bright side, at least you will know where your earnings are coming from :)

I would personally recommend using URL channels rather than custom channels. In this case, you would not need to alter your code on every website as you would with custom channels, as URL channels automatically detect their channel based on the domain/page, while custom channels rely on the tag inserted into the code.

You may also have use for custom channels in some of the cases, but unless you have a need to use such custom tracking on every site, I would suggest starting by URL. :)

Channells are a way to know which of your website(s) or webpage(s) are performing more than the other. Suppose, you have a website in which you place articles about Dogs and Cats. Now while putting adsense ads in these webpages, how would you know which of your webpage, i.e, either about Cats or Dogs is fetching you more money than the other? Enter Channells. With Channell feature, you would create two Custom Channells for Cats and Dogs. While generating the Ad Code, there is an option to associate a chanell with that code. Thus you can associate different channells (Cats & Dogs in this case) to ad code and place this code in appropriate pages. This way you can see how much impressions/clicks each webpage(s) (Cats & Dogs in this case) are getting and try to optimize webpages specifically.

Putting the same adsense codes on all the website wont differentiate your earnings.
Use seperate channels for every website to track your earnings. this is easy way to know how much you earn from each website you have.
