I tried to redirect an addon domain and I couldn't do it. I did everything I should do but I could not effect the redirect. I asked live support and he couldn't do it either after long minute of trial. Can anyone give me an insight or help? Thanks.

it should be relatively easy to do from cpanel. can i ask, is the domain name using the correct domain name servers? Have you allowed enough time for pagination? If so, go to cpanel, remove it, then readd the addon domain, and try the redirect again.

I think I did everything correctly in Cpanel. Because this is not new to me. I used to redirect my other domain to other URLs. If you think setting it up again will work, then I will remove it and reset it up. I will see. But the support used to accomplish some tasks before when I have troubles, this time, the support guy from Hostgator tried for about 30 minutes and told me he doesn't know what is wrong. But he said everything is set up correctly. well I will see what I can do. I will also try your advice.

Are you getting any errors? Does the redirect rule is reflected on the .htaccess file? If you have any other .htaccess files under your parent folder, try backing it up.
