Directories are a huge waste of time, something I used to spend way too much of my life on in 2005 when I started.

I recommend using www.receivelinks.com which is the best way for people to get backlinks and not spend a dime.

    When you have done that??

It will took few days to google spiders to crawl your links. Link will not be counted at the same time when you'll submit it. It took few days to get it counted.. :)

    Thanks

It will take many days for google to find you link deep inside the directorie, there are tons of better places to ad your link

patience is virtue lot of times. search engines take quite some time to crawl all the sites and update their data centers. i am sure eventually they would be there.

There other more efficient ways to get backlinks. Directories are veru good for start but you should pick only the best ones and I dont think there are more than 50.

If google doesnt show your backlinks thats because it doesnt crawl those directories you used.

1st off, it takes time for those links to get indexed
    2. link:command doesn't work in google anymore
-try it in yahoo linkdomain:site.com, or best is to check in google webmaster tools.

    cheers, and good luck

For what is it worth, if I was you I wold stop wasting my time with directory submissions.

    Submit your site to:

    DMOZ and Yahoo

    and then forget directory submissions.

    1. Directories are notorious at taking (sometimes months) ages to add you to their pages
    2. If you used an auto submitter I would guess about 25% at best will have worked
    3. Most directories are a waste of time and have low PR value anyway
    4. Google never shows all the back links it knows about
    5. Yahoo site explorer is accepted as your best estimate of backlinks but from experience even that can be radically wrong.
    6. You should have url's of your directory submissions if they have been created so check to see if they are ok first.

I noticed Google seemed to update my PR link staus every 2 to 3 months, sometimes longer sometimes shorter. Basically it was when ever the heck they felt like it, LoL

Directories are not what they use to be. There is only a handful worth submitting your site to. At the minimum submit to dmoz.
