Why not try a variety of methods? Adsense, Clickbank, Commission Junction, Amazon etc... And see what works best? Test Test Test!!! =)

Thank you all. I took a look at all the programs and CJ and Azoogle looks most fitable for my purposes. Could some of you post an example of your website using those services please?

I think an ad for iPod shuffle will be perfect for my target group.

I think you'll find help faster if you ask for advice on how to promote the product on your site. Not too many people are going to share their exact methods of promotion (ie. their sites and placements), but they may help you improve yours.

Keep in mind, people aren't going to be able to help you much without seeing your website first.

Also, this kind of question is going to get a better response in the affiliate programs section of the forum. (this is the marketing section, and your site is already marketed well)

If i were you I would use the Google Adsense programme (http://www.google.com/adsense). You don't have to cover your website in adverts, and you can change the colour of the adverts to blend in to your site so that they are less noticeable.

You get paid per amount of visitors to your site (so obviously you would be earning straight away if your getting 60,000hits a day) and you also get paid whenever people click on your adverts.

If you go the suggested route and just use banners from the Azoogle then I think you'll be paid only when people click the banner and make a purchase from the site (Ipod for example). Whereas I don't think you would be rewarded per traffic to the site.

Good luck with the site :)

Correction: You will only get paid for non clicking traffic (CPM traffic) if someone buys inventory on your site.

WHy don't you sell ad space directly to advertisers? I would be willing to buy an ad spot on your site.
Please PM me if you are interested in selling me an ad spot.

if your playing too safe, you might want to try adbrite or adengage , you can get some links posted on your site..it will still depend if the CPC of your niche is good though. :)

The value of 60 000 hits can vary hugely, depending on how much money your usual visitors have in their pockets, and what they are in the frame of mind to do (buy, chat, get up to mischief?) Some of this depends on the topic of your site, and some on where your visitors are coming from.

The best thing you can do is experiment with a few different advertising methods, and track the results over time. Give it at least a week so you can take account of the usual peaks and troughs of traffic over that time.

I'd say test with Google Adsense, and put up a link to a "Interested in advertising here?" link to a gmail address.

Then you cover all your bases.

    Good luck!!!

Adsense is a good option, like others suggested. Many people ditch adsense and just sell ads themselves. You can make much more money that way. If you aren't making money with adsense go for it.

I would suggest adsense. At 60,000 uniques a day, your earning potential for software/tech related ads is $600. However you may have to rewrite some content to make Google serve you the right ads, else you will get a mix up - untargeted ads. Google will serve you ads according to the page content, not what you offer or sell.

Monetizing a site which gets 60,000 hits per day is case for diversification of income streams. Depending on the contents or services your site offers, alternative income streams (like premium services) should be considered as well.
Moreover, you mentioned that you started with a clean and professional look. If that's some aspect that made your site more successful than predicted, I would not try to put unprofessional ads on the site.

Thank you. You are all so kind, my knowledge is expanding fast with Digitalpoint forums.

I am definitely interested in non-Text advertisements. I think my visitors will react better to a graphic banners or something.

    What are premium services?

I was thinking of going to Apple site and sign up to their affiliate program. And just put iPod graphic banner. My visitors have money and tend to buy stuff like that. At least I think so.

Am I crazy to think like that? :)

If you know your users have cash to spend, then you'll almost definitely make more pushing affiliate products to them. Like the others have said, don't be afraid to sign up for a few different programs, then test each one to see what works best for your site. Feel free to PM if you want more assistance.

Firtly, how many unique visitors are you getting to your site? 60,000 hits cannot tell you how good it is.

You should find affiliates related closely with your niche and should promote them on your site. In case you don't want to go with affiliates and Google Ads, you can sell links on your website, by providing ad space on the site. and promote those links by 'Sponsored links' etc.
