I have a website in english. Are links from websites written in other languages bad ?

    I have a website in english. I wounder if getting link on websites written in other languages are good or bad for my website ? Please Help !

    It can't hurt that's for sure

    And since i tested the viceversa English sites linking to non english and it helps i bet viceversa works the same ...

    It's not bad :) It might even be especially good if the sites are related and the links are merit-based.

    If the anchor text is in English that would be ideal!
    If not - a link is a link as they say.

    Not sure if this is true, but i think that it will even help you to score higher in local google searches. For example a lot of backlinks on dutch websites, might help you to score higher in google.nl. Not sure if this is a fact, but it would seem logical to me.

    No, links from non English websites are not bad as long as they are relevant to your website.

    Since i am from germany i have many german websites. Some of them have 80% english backlinks and i rank for very competive keys for years with it.

    Its not bad as long the content of the sites are relevant and also you get international traffic too.
