Can someone give me some pointers on how popunders and popups workout financially and where to go to engage in that. Personally that really goes against the grain for me, but I am struggling to make money from the site any other way. Its doing fantastic, with 200 uniques visitors a day, from MSN and other sites. I estimate it should leave the google sandbox very soon, and then I dont know what the traffic will be like. Its awesome to see people staying on for 20 minutes or 40 minutes. I cannot run adsense on this site, its not eligible. So appreciate some pointers, thanks, Steve
Depends on your niche and type of site. if it's a good content site you could make a membership site where people'd pay to read some of the special articles. You might want to put up affiliate links. It's impossible to say without knowing what the site is about.
Hi, its not a site I can charge membership for. People like to see it but wont pay for it. This is why I need to be looking at popups/popunders or PPC for mature theme sites (its a clean site for adults) if that makes sense . I ran adsense for a while when they recently emailed to say it didnt fit the bill. Thanks for any advice.
Does this have a fair split between non US and US traffic? If you get more than 20% non US traffic try the link in my signature. It gives 50 cents per non US impression and does pretty good with US impressions at $1.20 per 1000. As far as delivery...the client needs to have javascript enabled. Apparently most do by default. Since its a popunder you can also use it in conjunction with something else like bidv or YPN.
Well wormy, I took your advice on good faith im afraid. Adversal doesnt tolerate adult related sites at all, as pointed out earlier mine is. So I painfully put up with their site which is seriously struggling. Attempted about 50 times to login to get the code for my site. Tried to read the terms, the site couldnt open the page. Then finally after ive got the code, one day later im booted out because the dont support adult content. Thanks! Steve
I'd try to avoid popups and popunders that just gets people pissed and scares off repeat visitors. You could try selling links on your site. That might be the best way to go if you don't want porn ads on your site. If you're willing to sell porn there's plenty of affiliate programs out there.
Adversal offers a good CPM for raw/ non-unique impressions. $1.80 per 1k US impressions, the impressions don't have to be unique.
You could try affiliating with AdultFriendFinder.com, I've seen affiliate banners for them on other sites, and it should fit your site nicely.
He signed up with adversal on my advice but he claims they booted him due to adult content. I thought it was adult but clean. Had no idea their standards were that high.
