    Hi guys,

I think this is the right section for this topic, couldn't really see where else to put it...

Anyway, I'm looking for some guideance on a shared hosting account i have got. It currently uses cpanel and when i signed up for the account it said specify a domain name as the main domain for the account. So for this example lets say i used domain1.com

However, i have a number of other domains that have been added to the account as 'addon' domains. These are in their own folder from the root directory, e.g. /domain2.com - /domain3.com and so on.

But, my main problem is that my primary domain (domain1.com) runs from the root / directory and has over 20 sub folders. This means that my subfolders are mixed in with my other addon domains and the entire folder is a mess.

Is there any way that i can create a subfolder on the system for my primary domain and point everything from the root to this sub folder? I don't want to change my domain or forward anything into a subfolder because i will lose my SE ranking with the site as these pages are indexed.

I know this is along post but any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Alan

If you do not want to setup redirects, I think you might be better off upgrading to a reseller account so you can have access to WHM and can then create an account for each domain name. I can't think of any other solution as cPanel has no option to specify which directory an addon domain goes into, as far as I know.

No this is not possible as cpanel doesnt allow to do that but if there wasnt cpanel than you change the configs in the apache config
