Hey DP members! It's been awhile since i posted, been busy. I have a question for you all... how many photoshop templates of reasonable quality(worth$60US) are you capable of making in a week? I'm trying to estimate what i could reasonably do..but looking at the quality of what's sold here in the marketplace,i'm wondering if i'm being too generous in the amount of templates i could make in a week. I'm estimating 2 or 3 a day over 5 or 7 days. I'm going to begin selling templates in the next week or two! yay! to kick start my freelancing! at least until i'm confident to offer coding services. thanks, arcanus
i think you should design only one template per day and do concentrate on the quality... and the speed can vary from client too client mate ...
It's probably possible to do 2 a day and produce good quality but it would take me nearly all the hours of the day.
If it was full time I could do anywhere from 15- 20 a week! That's a nice sum of $1200 a week! ~Frame7
thanks for the replies Yes quality over quantity is a good idea. from what i've seen here average quality templates sell for around $30 and good quality around $60+. I have time on my side so i could whip up 2 a day..i haven't learnt illustrator yet. I'm pretty confident with photoshop now I did manage to create a simple directory template uncoded a month ago before my downloaded photoshop trial ended lol. I did it in several hours.. thanks, arcanus
Aim for 1 per day. Then if you make 2 in a single day you can have a day off Most of the psd templates I've seen for sale are total crap. I still don't really understand why anyone buys "uncoded sites" You could probaly make 1 good (coded) template per day and sell it for way more.
