I have a question about blogging ethics for my news blog.

What do you think about getting content from an auto-content generator for your WP blog? Is it ethical?

Google considers it as spam and does not rank blogs that do it well

I'm not a fan of it. Original content will always be better in the long run.

It is ethical if you get the consent from the source before you use their content.

I'm not a fan of it either, and I also don't like the fact that some people use programs to scrape/steal content from other people's blogs. In my opinion that is no different than stealing, even if the blog is not actually selling something. You are more or less profiting from someone else's work, without their permission.

You can't auto generate a popular blog that will get you any sort of success.
If so we would all be doing it and the web would be a boring wasteland of mediocrity, and repetition of the same old content.
