Hello friends, I have a vbulletin forum and I want to do a thing in it. I want to make it such that only the admins and the mods can create new threads whereas the other members can only leave comments in the threads. Is this possible? If yes, then how? Please help me.....
Sure, it is very possible! vBulletin is quite flexible with its permissions. Go to Admin Control Panel --> Forums and Moderators --> Forum Permissions Scroll down the list to your forum Click on Edit next to each usergroup below it and set the proper permissions in the Post / Thread Permissions area. For those who should be able to create new threads, select Yes on "Can Post Threads." Select No for all groups who should not be able to create new threads. Look through that area for any other options you may want to set, for that forum.
