If each of those ten inner pages has a link to your home page, then yes, some PR benefit will be passed through to the home page.

PR depends on the number of backlinks.

PR is purely based on incoming links. More incoming links may give you more traffic but the traffic itself does not give you more PR.

If one of your pages gets lots of back links then it is going to have a very high pr, so the pr is going to pass to your homepage.

For example, if one of my pages gets listed in digg and i get 3,000 back links pointing to that page, then that same page is going to pass pr to my homepage.

Backlinks and quality content is the driving force behind the PR algo- this is what I have always been told. So keep on digging for quality incoming links pointing to your site..And BTW PR shouldn't be your No. 1 measure.

a higher PR may help you get a higher listing on Google's search engine and that in turn may help you get more traffic.

If all your pages link back to homepage then there is good chance of getting at least PR5. Internal links are more stronger than external backlinks.

Several posters have correctly stated that those inner pages will pass some PR back to your home page.

Most webmasters know, of course, that the above statement is true only if your internal linking structure is correctly done. For those who may not be aware of this, if you wish to funnel PR from inner pages to your home page, it is absolutely necessary that each of those inner pages contains a hyperlink to the home page.

A "Home" button will indeed pass some PR. But you are losing another SEO advantage by naming that button "Home", rather than using some good keyword-rich "anchor text" in those links to the home page. For example, in a site selling Blue Widgets, you might use "Blue Widgets Home" for the text on that link to the home page. That way you get the positive impact of the phrase "Blue Widgets" being counted on your home page by the search engines.

I must say.. ur on a right track..
If you want some PR benefits towards the homepage, all the pages must be linked to homepage and they should have interlinked.
    IMHO
