Hi i have a new sight called www.christianlocaldating.com my alexa rank shows 14,220,000 my google analytics shows 650 growing about 200 every day. I'm ranked #1 for Christian local Dating. Also plan to be ranked for Free Dating top 5 soon. I'm on a shared database of 5 million. I'm focusing next on dating and singles keywords. I was wondering am i taking the right steps? i've only up for two weeks. I got a 59% bounce rate and dropping every day was 80% at first. my goal is to be around 30% would be nice. any suggestions would be greatly valued good or bad Thanks for taking time out of your day to review my sight!!!
i all just an update got my traffic at alexa is now 8,900,000 and dropping all the time . my google analytics is 1125 per day and gaining about 200- 500 per day and bounce is going down to 53.07 1.5% a day. Just been doing articles and backlinks. Hopefully be ranked high when the PR update comes out if not we will get them next time.. Just wanted to create a nice easy sight with not to much clutter pleasing to the eye and hopefully the clients will like it along with the sponsors further down the road. Not bad for only being up 3rd week. wanted to say thanks for all the reviews!!!!!! appreciate all your time!!! scotty
Interesting idea and I think the bounce rate target is good. But targeting dating and singles is gonna be hard.
It's pretty bad imo, you should change the font on the top bar and the navigation buttons from times new roman, and don't you think we already have enough crappy dating websites? no need to clutter the tubes with another one. EDIT: You spelled 'site' wrong in your OP EDIT2: Why only christians? people of other religions and even atheists and agnostics need sites where they can hook up with other people; why are you being so discriminatory towards them?
A little too simple and bland. I also don't like the orange color. Great idea though, looks like it's going to be a success.
well i decided to change it up a bit after all the reviews thanks for being honest. orange wasnt workign too well with people. I went with a light color at first but that was too tame and you couldnt see the buttons too well. also, wanted to put in more pictures of members. reason i chose just christians is because its easier to market too and its my sight not yours haha. If people of other faiths dont like it then they dont have to join that simple. Not my fault you didnt like the other dating sights mines 100% free so not like its money out of your pocket.
Congratulations it sounds like you're off to a really great start. My only suggestion is a that I would get one of the talented designers in our community to create for you a snappy and pretty logo. I would also consider doing some content that would be gender specific. Men and women have very different ways in which they use online dating sites. Keep doing what you're doing and I think you'll continue to be successful.
