Okay, so I have a small forum (romcrazy.co.uk/forums), I used websitevalueclaculator.com to check my site's worth, it says I have no alexa ranking (which I do) and my site is valued pretty low. However it says I have 5.5 Million backlinks from major search engines...how I got that...I have no clue. I checked a few other sites in case it had a glitch, it didn't seem the case...so what I wanted to know was how to use this to get traffic, get people advertising on my site and ultimately make money. I'm still new to this stuff so please keep it simple. Thanks, Bomb.
http://tools.marketleap.com only shows 280ish backlinks in yahoo and non in google. If you're site had 5.5 million back links you would have seen some decent traffic.
yep 5.5 million seems like an error of some sort. There is a nice link popularity program that I use called LPC, it is free to download.

for sure the report is not right. if you had 5.5 mil backlinks, your site would rule google for your keyword btw, what the deal on making the entire post bold? most people find it rude and not so pleasnat
You would be seeing hundreds of thousands of visitors with 5.5 mil backlinks. I only use yahoo site explorer to verify yahoo backlinks and google webmaster tools for google backlinks. gl
A good starting point would be to look where the current backlinks are coming from. This will show what is currently getting picked up by the search engines, do more of that and also introduce a few more methods of getting relevant backlinks to your site. When creating a link it can help to have your keywords and your anchor text.

if you really have a 5.5M backlinks for sure you have a good rankings and that rankings can automatically traffic, and we called that an organic traffic.
Go to yahoo and type linkdomain:www.yourdomain.com in the search box. It will tell you how many links yahoo knows about. Google will only tell you about some of the links so the data isn't that valuable from google.

Do not rely only on one tool. Some of them are not accurate. Try other tool and compare their result so that you can see the difference.

I wouldn't worry about Alexa it's gimmick and only usful for publicity purposes. Stick with optimising your site in Google, it's the best search engine by far.
