I have created a landing page using coolmojito.com. I want to make sure it is the first page visitors see when they visit my Facebook page. The way it is now visitors land on the timeline page and then have to click on my welcome page tab. How do I go about changing this?It is my understanding that a landing page is exactly this. Am I misunderstanding the concept of a landing page?
Thanks for the reply. It looks like you might be correct, I have seen some YouTube videos but I can't figure out how to do what they show. Of course the videos for before they went to the timeline layout.
It looks like you are correct.I'm doing some Internet marketing work for a local insurance company. The main thing they wanted was to use Facebook to drive people to their website. Unfortunately, the Facebook landing page was my best idea.Does anyone have any additional suggestions I can use to get people to their Facebook page and drive people from the Facebook page to the website?
With the timeline update visitors cannot open the welcome tab of your Facebook page directly. You will have to do some creative marketing strategy if you want to entice people to click on the main webpage from Facebook.
The best way to do what you need to happen is to tell a story on the timeline using images and videos. Use your 12 tabs to lead you fans where you want them to go. Start with a good timeline cover, your profile is clickable so tell your visitors to click it. When they click your profile image another window will open and you can give them more information. Lead them to your website. Use call to actions everywhere. Let me know if I can be of more help.
I know that using a good cover photo is important but, I also know that cover photos have to be certain dimensions of pixels. I am not really skilled with Photoshop. Can anyone recommend any software or something like that to help me create an appropriate cover photo? Thanks for all the great advice, I'm sure I will have more questions soon.I am a recent marketing graduate and oddly enough we learned none of the really important things, we learned things like calculus and advanced statistics. Those things might be important but I really wish we would have learned things like Photoshop etc. because those are the things we're going to need to know in order to get a job. I suppose that was a little bit off topic, I just find it interesting what you learn in what you actually need to know.
Well, to get good covers you can make use of many sites out there which give great cover ideas. Then you can hire someone for a cheap amount and give them the idea of the cover, and get it donr. The DP contest forum may be good for this purpose.
